Final concept direction

Choosing between our three directions

After conducting the Co-design session, working further on the designs and updating our requirements with decisions made from all the sessions we come to our final concept direction. Our main focus became the clothing challenges as by speaking and working with our participant we noticed that the most design possibilities and options to really improve his way of life lay in this direction. Therefore we worked further in the way of research by designing, as we have noticed that for this project this way of working worked best. Different calls, or evaluations to call them, were done with Joe in order to get his insights on all our design options we had. For example the different options in attachment for the tags. So after conducting the last call the following final decisions were made:

So after conducting the last call the following final decisions were made:

  1. generic shape and the specific shape on it (embossed)

    1. generic shape either rectangle or circular

  2. the container has a holder for instruction cards about what the different symbols mean

    1. make it a generic shape so customers can make their own cards

  3. attach the container to the closet door with adhesive strips

  4. the system should have an instruction card

    1. put the 3 different systems on there to give options

  5. dispense tags with cotton pads holder system

    1. different columns for the different type of tags

    2. each columns must have the icon of the tag on top of the columns opener

      1. for this opening we want that only one column at a time opens/ they all open separately, so that the tag can not accidentally fall into an other container

  6. We will use one system for the tagging especially for joe

    1. and one system that can be adapted to the market

These decisions form the basis for the final requirements, as they could be seen on the previous page. Keeping all these in mind and consulting Joe we eventually came to the final design of the TagTracker. It will be a container that can hold 3 different tags. These tags can indicate different levels for the clothing etc. From this point we drew and modeled our final concept.
